We had a wonderful holiday season with friends and family. While we desperately missed Elliot and Alexa, we cherished every second of our time with Meredith. Two weeks is not a long time, but it was enough to fill our cups and do some really fun things. Together we made gingerbread houses and pizzas. We saw Christmas lights and Goofy. We kayaked past alligators and turtles and swam in a spring fed river. We played Tuck and Cribbage and worked on a very hard puzzle. We ate Japanese, Italian, and Larry’s amazing Christmas Feast. We sang and strummed. We drove in golf carts, convertibles, and Louie. We laughed and hugged and snuggled. We went to the gym, book store, and thrift stores. And collectively we made plans for next Christmas when (god willing) we are all together.
The year ends this evening. And by anyone’s measure we had an incredible year. Season Three of the Faux Birds officially starts tomorrow. We have some fun Florida explorations lined up through the rest of the winter months. Stay tuned for what the Nomading portion of our year will look like.
