The first week of August is already here. It feels impossible that our visit with Meredith is almost over. July went by in a blur. I spent a few days with Tammy in Haverhill while she recovered from knee surgery (and we both recovered from bee stings). Back up at camp we passed the days playing games, mornings at the gym, and hours of Spanish for me. There’s been hiking, swimming, hammock napping, kayaking, and all the simple joys of Camp and New England. Collectively, we caught some great live music, had some wonderful dips into Maine to see family and friends and show Ewan and Meredith around Portland a smidge. We’ve certainly been eating locally and seasonally: lobsters, corn, tomatoes, raspberries, zucchini, and blueberries in all their glorious forms. Now, most of us are now turning our attention to packing to go overseas and recovering from summer colds. At the end of this week Mer and Ewan return to their lives in Northern Ireland and mom and I head over to the Netherlands to visit Elliot and Alexa. When we all reconvene, I’ll be posting about how quickly August flew by. Here are a few more pics to capture the summer so far.
