Northern empty nests

Things sure are quiet here at camp. My folks have headed back to Florida, Meredith has headed back to Northern Ireland, and Elliot is back in the Netherlands. Most of the folks on the camp road are gone for the season. The weather has been particularly gorgeous and we have relished the natural beauty and the quiet splendor of this little corner. We interrupted the quiet a bit with one day of noisy work so we could put a new roof on the Yellow Camp.

We got a chance to go to Acadia National Park, visit our good friends, and share a sunrise together on Cadillac Mountain. I got to go see Tamo for an overnight and a share a harvest supermoon and wonderful sunrise woods walk with her. Then I had a bit of a make over. New lashes and a very new hair cut by the incomparable Meg.It feels great and I am so happy I took the big leap.

Now we are turning our attention into preparing to reposition our little land yacht (christened Louie) down to Florida and then buttoning up the properties for the winter. It’s hard to believe the season is essentially over. And it’s hard to believe all the work I need to do in the next couple weeks. (And instead of tackling all that work I am here making a delayed post on the ol’ blog. Typical). The wheel turns and we pick up our nomading traveling again shortly. Here are some pictures from the last couple weeks.
