After Stockholm, Larry and I flew in to Las Vegas. We stayed two nights at the Mandalay Bay Resort. Friday evening we went up to have a drink at the Skyfall Lounge which gave a terrific rooftop view of the strip. We then grabbed Japanese at one of the many restaurants in the resort and then called it a night. On Saturday, I thought we might enjoy some time at the pool, but our recognizance walk through showed a crush of humanity in full sun and likely very urine-filled pools (I mean, lots of people were in there drinking heavily, but no one was ever really getting out…just sayin’). It really just wasn’t the vibe we were looking for. So we opted instead to drive out to Red Rock Canyon in the morning and enjoy some gorgeous desert scenery. Upon returning we did a little gambling (quickly and poorly), and then we headed out to dinner on the strip (in the New York section, just past Paris) at Momofuku. After a wonderful dinner with amazing views of the Eiffel Tower, we headed over to watch a quintessential Vegas staple: The Penn and Teller show. We had front row seats to their very amazing, fast paced performance. And even better: Larry got called up to help assist one of the bits. It was so much fun. After the show, Larry tried his hand a blackjack and did better than I did at slots. We enjoyed a very Vegas-y day, but we knew we each had a big day of travel, so we tried to behave and get to bed at a relatively decent hour. We can’t all be rock stars all the time.

Sunday morning came, and Larry went. He headed back to St George, Utah, to get our belongings out of storage. He then headed due north and got settled into our airbnb in Bozeman, Montana. I caught a flight to LA to join my friend, Amy, and attend her daughter, Georgia’s, directorial movie premiere. I didn’t know that going to a movie premiere in Hollywood was on my bucket list, but I now feel it should be on everyone’s bucket list! Georgia and her friends and coworkers were amazing! I was super proud of the work they created and really impressed with the entire event. We had a small cocktail party before the premiere and a big party the evening after. So much fun with friends and family. It was a delight to be a part of the big event.

Tuesday morning I headed to Bozeman, and some much needed rest, exercise, and a slower pace. I mean, I actually stayed in the same bed for three whole days this time before heading off for our next adventure. Stay tuned!
