We left Tennessee and spent two full days driving. The first day landed us in Amarillo, Texas, in time for an excellent dinner of Tex Mex and a good night’s sleep. The second day brought us from Texas to Utah, passing through Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arizona. We passed stunning scenery, the likes of which we east coasters are not exactly used to. We intend to stay put in Utah for two weeks. Our time here will be spent with normal, nomad living: working, working out, cooking at home, and early to bed/early to rise. But we will do our best to weave in as much outdoor exploration as the work schedule allows. Because the sun sets around 8:30 and many of the state parks stay open well into the evening, I like our chances of getting out and among some of this natural wonder.
