We have seen some incredible things so far. This lovely city has many elements that feel familiar to Europe, to the US, to New Orleans, to Paris. We are drinking in all in while trying to balance day to day living and learning. I’ve been taking a lot of pictures this past week, and some themes are starting to emerge. Street art, food, green spaces and ancient trees, music, dance, architecture…these are a few of my favorite things. While the bulk of the M – F week was work for Larry and Spanish class for me, we did manage to weave in some amazing experiences. We took a full day private walking tour that gave us a great introduction to this vast city. We attended a private tango music concert in the living room of a grammy-nominated tango singer. We indulged in some amazing food. We had cocktails on a roof top over looking the lovely domes of Av. de Mayo. And we have walked and walked and walked. We have explored San Telmo, La Boca, Recoleta, Palmero. We’ve been testing the multiple assertions of the locals on which ice cream is the best. Jury is still out. Here are a sampling of pics to give a small taste of some of what we’ve been up to these days.
