I have a feeling we will meet again.
This last week has been filled with delicious tastes and interesting sights. We did our best to try to squeeze in as much as possible before departing. To that end, we dined out every night: Gris Gris on Monday, Mister Mao on Tuesday, and Boucherie on Wednesday. We slipped in cocktails at Bouligny, the Rum House, and the Gilded Perch. I am leaving today ahead of Larry, who leaves on Sunday. Because he was working and my time was fleeting, I spent the day wandering the Garden District one more time, enjoying the trolley, soaking in the atmosphere, and curating my final bites and tastes. I sampled the Collard Green sandwich at Turkey and the Wolf, the Rachel at Stein’s, the shrimp bao buns at Le’s Baguette, snowballs from the Imperial Woodpecker, and oysters at the famous standing oyster bar at Pascal’s Manale. I chose my last taste of New Orleans to be a beignet from the Vintage.
