In many ways it feels like we’ve been here for much longer than a week. We have squeezed a lot of living in the short seven days. We also has our long-time friends, John and CB, join us for a long weekend where we did lots of touristy things like visit the bayou and take an airboat tour. We visited Mardi Gras World. We explored the French Quarter. We ate so many traditional foods I can’t imagine I will ever be hungry again (spoiler: I could completely inhale a bag full of beignets from Vintage this very second.) And we laughed and laughed and laughed. We really do love sharing our travels with friends. We aren’t in New Orleans for very long, so we won’t get to have too many visitors. But that’s probably just as well as it allows us to behave for the most part but then let loosen a bit with friends.
