*grumble grumble*

We interrupt these nomadic wanderings and pondering with inconvenient health issues. I started out with the best of intentions and lofty goals of daily writing. But then, in the middle of my well-laid plans, I get smacked with needing two surgeries within a month of each other. One on my back and one on my front.

I had a ‘severe atypia’ growth on my back, which was not melanoma, but well on its way to being so. They dug that out and left me with twenty stitches or so on my right shoulder blade, pretty much exactly where I cannot reach or see.

Then a long and drawn out mystery of my misbehaving internally (but rocking, asymptomatic externally) body resulted in the diagnosis that my gall bladder was full of sludge and was seeping bile, thus causing liver enzymes to rise and almost certainly foretelling a gall bladder emergency in the near future. As someone with all their original parts (save four wisdom teeth) I wasn’t overly eager to go under and have an organ removed. But neither did I want to suffer an emergency while we were traveling. The doctors were able to accommodate my truncated schedule, so the least I could do would be to comply.

Now I am convalescing. Again. No lifting. Again. No swimming. Again. No running. Again. It makes me a bit grumpy and not terribly inspired to write.
